Sugaring is an excellent choice for removing facial hair (as well as the entire body). Gentle and non-invasive, sugar removes hair by the root. Yes, even the small, thin tiny hairs and the course stubborn ones as well.
Q: What parts of the body can be sugared?
A: All of them, no matter the gender, ages 9 to 90.
Q: Do I need to remove my makeup before I come for my sugaring session?
A: We would prefer you do as any product can impede full extraction. However, we do a light cleanse on the face prior to sugaring.
Q: Can you sugar a back?
A: Absolutely
Q: Wax makes me breakout. Will sugar do that too?
A: Sugar is a far gentler process and often a client won't experience a breakout with sugaring. However, a histamine response is the body's response to trauma. Hair removal is "traumatic" to the follicles. We do take steps to help alleviate or prevent this from happening. Be sure to have a conversation with Heather prior to session to make sure you get the best care possible before, during and after.
Q: I'm getting married, going on a trip or have something special planned. When should I get sugared?
A: We require 7-10 days of hair growth and always recommend a minimum of 2 visits prior to your special occasion.
Q: What is the difference in the bikini and Brazilian sugaring?
A: Bikini Line removes the hair from just outside the bikini or panty line to just inside. Bikini Line Plus removes hair from just outside the bikini or panty line and goes further in to leave the landing strip, sized by client preference. Neither of these will automatically include the backside, but can be added for an additional fee. The Brazilian removes hair from just outside the panty line over the entire area including the backside between the cheeks.
Q: How long does it take?
A: Most sessions are between a ½ hour and an hour.
Q: How long does it last?
A: Your hair grows in stages. Most clients prefer a 3-4 week cycle. Heather will guide you on what stage your hair is in and what to expect on the turn around time once she's sugared you the first time.
